I was just tweaking my gallery a bit - mostly minor and pointless details just for the heck of it. I realize that I do that alot, and though it's a waste of time, one can argue that many things are pointless. There isn't much sense in the kind of things we do in the spur of the moment, things we do just because we feel like doing them. But small things can also make you happy, for some time. So I'll just fiddle away with the outlook of my gallery... I really do live in the moment.

When I walk along the street listening to music, I sometimes feel like that moment is right out of a scene from some movie. As if I'm observing my life as an outsider, like I'm not there. It's a peculiar feeling.   

Just discovered Sigur rós, their music is quite unlike anything else I've ever heard. It flows in and out of one's consciousness, awakening you to the beauty around you. It's mesmerizing.

Yup, I finally decided to update this journal. Summer in Finland, as a student, is quite leisurely - we have two and a half months of holiday (from june the 1st to about the 13th of August). In June I traveled in Germany and visited Paris. Since there are good train connections in Germany, it was easy enough to jump onto a train to Paris. Well, I won't go into the details here, but since I'll be posting some photos later on, you can read more about the trip then!

Unfortunately I haven't managed to do the things that most Finns do, such as going to a summer cottage, fishing, going to sauna or jumping into a lake and swimming across it... Although I have eaten strawberries! Yummie...

Yup, so today I'm leaving on a trip to Japan for two weeks! Yay yay yay *hyperventilation* The plane leaves at 5 pm, and I still need to return some papers to school (how did I manage to procrastinate THIS much???!) Yesterday I saw Sweeney Todd; it was really stunning and bloody and awesome, and Johnny Depp was better than ever! Amazing what Burton did with the visuals, and how he mixed the genres of horror and musical..... It's a must see, however it has quite a relentless effect that depressed me at least, (but then again, I always take things quite seriously), and the ending is really sad....
Yeah, so in any case, I won't be around for two weeks, I'll try to post soon afterwards pictures & stories from Japan.
